Nollywood producer & CEO Royal Arts Academy Emem Isong Misodi was recently honored during the 30th year anniversary celebration of her state Akwa Ibom. She was honored along with 30 other eminent personalities in the state such as Brigadier General(Senator) Tunde Ogbeha, Obong Victor Attah and Senator Godswill Akpabio.Senator Udo Udoma, the Prelate Emeritus of Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr Sunday Mbang CON, former Chief of Air staff, Air Marshall Nsikak Eduok retired, the former Inspector General of Police, Sir Etim Inyang to name a few.
The event took place at a state banquet held at the Le Meridien Ibom hotel and Golf Resort, Uyo and had also present, the Vice President of the Federation, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. It should be noted that Emem was the only woman among the Awardees and she was honoured for her iconic achievement in entertainment.

Emem is also in the state to film her latest project; an epic series set in Akwa Ibom titled ‘The Heiress’. She says; As a way of saying ‘thank you to my people’ I have decided to film my next huge project in the Uyo to continue in our contributions towards the development and growth of the movie industry in Akwa Ibom.
‘The Heiress’ is a first of its kind epic series that is a joint production between Royal Arts Academy & Rok Studios. She has teamed up with long time friend and colleague, Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen. The script was written by Vivian Chiji and stars Queen Nwokoye, Matilda Obaseki, Theresa Edem, Ini Ikpe, Moses Armstrong, Emem Ufot, Emem Morgan and many others.
